∙ 12y agoThough Hitler's religious beliefs are subject to much speculation, he associated Atheism with Jewry and Communism. And although he was raised as a Catholic, he stopped attending services when he was still quite young. In Martin Bormann's journals, he stated that Hitler was "privately hostile towards Christianity" but was still a spiritual man.
In closing, though Hitler promoted Christianity in the Third Reich, he was probably not a Christian himself, but a theist who was irreligious.

∙ 10y agoNo, Adolf Hitler did not support the Catholic Church; he did, however, tolerate it. A bit of history will clear this notion. The Church was, to Hitler, a daunting enemy with which he sought to deal as it would interfere with his plans for the 1000 year Reich. He plotted to kidnap the Pope and the Curia (Kirchenkampf)- however, his plans were thwarted as many generals, including Von Wolf, thought that would cause the "catholic troops" to revolt.
