But when Mr. Woolner tried to get Ida Straus onto one of the last life boats she refused saying, "We have been living together for many years, and where you go, I go." After she said that Mr. Woolner said to Isidor, "I am sure nobody would object to an old gentleman like you getting in. There seems to be room in this boat." But Isidor objected saying, "I will not go before the other men."
