The story of Moses is important for many reasons. Moses was in danger as an infant, and was later raised in Pharaoh's palace, yet he succeeded as a Jew and identified with his people (Exodus ch.2). He demonstrated humility by asking God if there was no one else more fitting to lead the Jews (Exodus ch.3-4). He spoke fearlessly to Pharaoh when demanding that his people be allowed to serve God in freedom (Exodus ch.5-11).

He pleaded with God to have mercy on the Jews (Exodus ch.5 and ch.32. Numbers ch.14). He remonstrated with those who sinned or misbehaved (Exodus ch.32, Numbers ch.16). He brought down the two Stone Tablets from God (Exodus ch.31:18). It was he whom God chose to signal the onset of each Egyptian plague (ibid. ch. 7-11). God taught him the entire Torah (ibid., ch.24).

It's not so much the story of Moses, but, according to The Bible, what he wrote; the verbal [spiritual] laws of God down for us to know, learn and obey, today. So that we are without excuse on the coming day of Judgment.

As Jesus tells us: "...They [we] have Moses and the Prophets; let them [us]listen to them... If they do not listen to Moses and the Prophets, they will not be convinced even if someone rises from the dead." (Luke 16:29-31 NIV)

God had Moses write down His "rules of conduct" for man in these last days, to follow; that if men would follow them, there would be world Peace... and all around just plain getting along with one another [for loving, caring and being concerned about and for one another]. Although they're rules that are generally in conflict with man's jealous, selfish nature -- they're important, nonetheless, also as a future "life and death" testimony and witness at Judgment Day's trial proceedings at the Last Day.

"This day I call heaven and earth as a witness against you that I have set before you [through Moses' recorded works] Life and Death, blessings and curses. Now CHOOSE LIFE, so that you and your children may Live and that you may Love the LORD your God, listen to His voice, and hold fast to Him. For the LORD is your Life..." (Deut.30:19-20 NIV).

It's not so much Moses' story that's important... but that men might learn from the Words of Jesus Christ [the God of the Old Testament -- John 1:3 -- who recruited Moses] regarding Eternal Life, that Moses was inspired to write down for us.

"Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have Eternal Life: and they are they which testify of Me." (John 5:39)

"...all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the Law of Moses, and in the Prophets, and in the Psalms, concerning Me." (Luke 24:44)

What's important is knowing Jesus Christ... and a humble heart that reads Moses' words reveals Him to them.

Moses was a religious man who believed in God. He went to Egypt to save the Jewish slaves working for the pharaoh. Moses' God was stronger than the Egypt people and Moses is highly respected by the Jewish, Christians or whoever believes in God. He had to give 12 bad things to the egyptians until they allowed the slaves free. the sea split opened as the slaves and Moses went through the way. He is in the Old Testament in the Bible.
