In colonial America, New Jersey was one of the 'middle' colonies. The New England colonies included: New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Connecticut. Middle: New York, New Jersey, Delaware, and Pennsylvania Southern: Virginia, Georgia, N. Carolina, S. Carolina, and Maryland.

Yes, they were one of the middle colonies. Their settlement was Trenton and jersey city. The other middle colonies were New York their settlements were Albany and NYC Delaware idk the settlement and Pennsylvania with the settlements of Philadelphia. Hope this helped!! : )
