Was Operation urgent fury necessary?

No it is possibly the most bizarre war in history. Operation to save medical students from a possible risk of hostage taking is the justification, most people would of chartered a jet if they were that concerned rather than launch an invasion and then take 2 days too work out where the campus was. Also the denial by Reagan to the British that they were invading having discovered that he had just accidentally declared war on the commonwealth.

Please also note that the POWs were Cuban construction workers and their families not special forces, and declaring six year old kids special forces is generally frowned upon by the international community. Please also note that the 'military installation' captured is still in use today , but it is neglected that it was being financed and designed by the british as aid for their tourism industry.
