That would be assuming that Shakespeare could see into the future - which he could not. He was undoubtedly proud of his body of work, and undoubtedly hoped it would continue to be performed long after his death. But every artist has that hope. There is no way he could have known if it would be or not.
Shakespeare's plays were performed in the afternoon, because they needed the daylight.
shakespeare influences us because of his great play which are played all around the world and in each of his plays he teaches a valuble life lesson =)

One of the great advantage of the concept of writing, developed about 5000 years ago, is that you can still read and use the words of someone who is dead. Thus you can still read Jane Austen's novels long after Jane has died. Shakespeare does not have to be alive for you to perform his plays because they were written down.Shakespeare's plays were not performed in order to make Shakespeare happy. People did not say in 1616, "Thank heavens Shakespeare is dead so we don't have to perform his plays any more." On the contrary, they performed and continue to perform Shakespeare's plays because they are the best plays ever written in the English language. Shakespeare's death did not change that.
because they were.
because they were good!

Queen Elizabeth was not a patron of Shakespeare's acting company, nor did she show an unusual interest in his plays. She did have his plays performed before her, along with those of other playwrights. Having your plays performed at court did boost one's reputation as a playwright.
William Shakespeare
