Personally, I don't think dinosaurs are 'famous'. But my brother is a paleontologist and he claims that the brachiosaurus is supposedly more famous than the diplodocus because a brachiosaurus looks like what everyone thinks a typical dinosaur looks like.

There are many! One of them is the brachisaurus nipped at its food on high branches, whilst diplodocus dragged it's teeth down and along branches sweeping the foliage off - so the diplodocus had different wear on it's teeth because of this and chewed whereas the brachisaurus had an up and down jaw motion to masticate it's food. Allegedly! - no one saw either one eat, we just have the evidence from their bones and teeth.
