No, The Bible is a work of fiction, & has been edited so many times to fit what Christians want to be acceptable, that it is nothing like the original bible, eg; views on homosexuality, if there ever was truth to the story it has been twisted & changed to suit Royal & Papal families so many times that it might as well be called under a different name again, eg Old Testament-New Testament-Koran, etc. the world was & still is made up of thousands of dialects, life originated from Africa, which has more dialects per square mile than any other Continent on the planet There are various theories as to the origin of human language and the way in which it diversified on the planet.

None of them can be decisively proven, although some data point to Genesis 11 being correct.

Since the Bible has repeatedly demonstrated itself to be a reliable record of history, there is no reason to doubt the record in this place regardless of the data. Things such as the Hittites were thought to be fiction but proved to be true. It once was considered that Moses could not have written the Pentateuch because writing had not developed yet. Then whole libraries were discovered dating from centuries before Abraham, which puts writing at least 1000 years before Moses. There are many examples of this kind of thing, including the existence of Sodom and Gomorrah, and the 'cities of the plain' found mentioned in the Ebla Tablets. The Bible has never proved itself to be a reliable record of history, as it is based on the existence of a God & His Son & the Holy Spirit, & also the word of supposed Prophets, who claim to have communicated in various ways with a non-existent being, ie GOD all of which are primitive superstitions to help people overcome their fear of death, just because writings & tablets have been found, does not prove that the contents were not just works of fiction, made up by followers of this superstition, Thousands of years from now someone might find a DVD of Star Trek, & believe from this discovery that the human race was once more advanced than in their time, merely because the style of writing fiction, & the understanding of the reader thru education, has changed thru the years with advancing technology, does not mean this fiction has become factual
