Why lights in a house often dim when a motor like washing machine is turned on?

Simply because of the extra drain on the circuit. When a high-current device like a washing machine is switched on - it creates a temporary 'dip' in the power supply around the building. The mains supply compensates for the extra load on the circuit fairly quickly - but it's still noticeable by the dim lights.

Why washing machine leaks from bottom when not in use?

Washing machines are connected to your mains water supply so either there is a problem with your water supply in as much as it is continually leaking when it's not supposed to be in use, or, more likely, there is a blockage in the machine or the water pipes immediately surrounding it which is causing water to flood back out of the machine. It's usually a small item of clothing like a sock (or a collection of them) that has worked its way out of the machine via that gap at the front of the drum just next to the door, and is now blocking your pipes. You may find water bubbling back out of your sinks and bath, depending on their proximity to the washing machine. You need a plumber, quick!

How do you install a washing machine?

If you are wanting to install a washing machine and the plumbing is already there, it is a cinch! Remove the old washer (Unscrew the water supply lines and unhook the drain hose). Make sure you get new water supply hoses. I like the steel braided hoses for extra strength and piece of mind. Hook up your new hoses to the correct inlets on your washer (they are marked H for hot and C for cold) Hook up your drain hose, level the washer and you are good to go!
