He was raised Christian but obviously strayed from the faith during The Beatles' heyday. Whether he ever came back, I don't know. When he married Heather Mills, I think it was a Christian ceremony.

The Beatles were unproclaimed buddhists. Buddhists don't necessarily believe or worship gods of any form.

  1. They adopted meditation and made the Buddhist way of contemplation widespread in the west. Meditation is now a popular way of relaxation and maintaining physical and mental health in the Western society, thanks to the Beatles.
  2. They were vegetarians and made it popular among the Western folk as well. Nowadays vegetarianism is regarded a healthier and more civilized way of life.

The Beatles religious beliefs changed through their lives; Lennon was raised as a Christian, became an atheist but then softened his disbelief (if that make sense).

George wasn't raised in a particular religion, but his interest in Indian music led to a deep belief in Hinduism.

Paul had a Catholic mother and a Protestant father and they chose not to raise their children in any faith. He isn't particularly religious.

Ringo wasn't religious for most of his life but recently has stated a belief in god.
