Check your battery and alternator and also your spark plugs and wires. If that's not it check your fuel pump and make sure you have gas.

Why do lunar eclipses are more common than solar eclipses?

They're not. During the 20th Century, there were 228 solar eclipses and 229 lunar ones, which is about as equal as you can get. But lunar eclipses are visible over a wider area. So if you stay in one place, you're more likely to see lunar eclipses more often than solar ones.

What do i do when my girlfriend wont tell me whats wrong?

Ask her what's wrong over and over again. Act concerned, and do the little things in life that will make her happy (small persents, ect.) Most likely she'll snap out of it. Or you never know, it may just be PMS.

What is the difference between solar and lunar eclipses?

Solar eclipses are when the moon travels in between the sun and the earth, creating a circular shadow on the Earth's surface, temporarily. (Don't stare at the moon during solar eclipses!) Lunar eclipses are when the earth gets in between the moon and the sun, creating a shadow over the moon, temporarily.

What effect does a solar eclipse have on plants or animals?

It's miniscule. Partial eclipses are similar to a cloud passing over the sun in terms of darkness, and total eclipses only last a few minutes.

How many solar eclipses are there in 2 years?

In 2013 and 2014 there will be a total of four solar eclipses. When the moon casts a shadow over the Earth, and the moon is between the sun and Earth, there is a solar eclipse.

How long is the time in between lunar eclipses?

It changes. There are three lunar eclipses on December 10, 2011, June 4 and November 28, 2012. Over a period of several years, solar and lunar eclipses both average about 2.3 per year, but anything up to 5 in a year is possible.

How often are lunar eclipses in the northern hemisphere?

The hemisphere is irrelevant. Lunar eclipses happen, over the long run, about one and a half times a year or so for partial or total lunar eclipses. (if we add penumbral eclipses also, they're a bit more common, but you need special equipment to detect a penumbral eclipse... you can't really tell visually). Lunar eclipses are visible from the entire dark half of the Earth, while solar eclipses are visible only along a narrow path. This makes it SEEM as if solar eclipses are rare, but they are only rare for a specific location. The NASA Eclipse Web Page has a listing of all eclipses from 2000 BCE to 3000 AD. Because a lunar eclipse lasts for some time, a bit over half the Earth gets to see any given one. You can reasonably expect to see slightly under one lunar eclipse per year.

How often are total lunar eclipse cycles?

In general, there are two lunar eclipses and two solar eclipses each year. On average, about half are total and half are partial, so you can expect, over a span of years, to see one total lunar eclipse every other year. There are sometimes cycles of eclipses. In 2014-2015, there will be four sequential total lunar eclipses, with no partial eclipses in between; this cycle is called a "tetrad" and it isn't all that unusual. There will be eight such tetrads in the 21st century; this will be the second tetrad of the century.
