The Delaware River is one of America's major rivers. The river borders more than two states. In fact, the Delaware River crosses four U.S. states. New York, New Jersey and of course, Delaware, are all proud to own some part of the Delaware River in their own land.

There are many, but in all likelihood, New York City and Albany are the ones you're asking about. New York City is the largest, and Albany is New York's state capital.

Other New York cities on the Hudson River are: Yonkers (4th largest city in New York State), Poughkeepsie, Troy, Kingston, Newburgh, Beacon, Hudson, and Mechanicville.

The New Jersey cities of Hoboken, Jersey City, and Union City are also located on the Hudson River.
