Difference between biodegradabe and non biodegradable pollutants?

Biodegradable means it can be decomposed but it needs a chemical agent to help break it down . Whereas degradable means it can be chemically degraded and it does not need an agent to degrade it.

All material that we have no further use for can be called waste,this can be differentiated into two categories,biodegradable & non biodegradable/The first is all material like,paper,garden waste & lawn clippimgs,non greasy food, cloth scraps,wood shavings,material from cleaning up pet cages etc,these can be broken down by insects worms & other soil organisms into humus which can safely be part of the soil,composting is a good example of converting biodegradables into a useful end product.Non biodegradables reguire recycling depending on the material.The important lesson is the concept that we are responsible for the safe & sensible disposal of items we no longer have use for disposing items
