Search online for law school rankings. Find the listing for the school that you want to attend and look at the LSAT range, which will be the range from the 25th to 75th percentile of the school's last entering class. You will probably need to score in or above this range in order to be accepted.

The LSAT median is a 162. It also depends on your GPA. If you have a 3.5 GPA and a 162 on the LSATs you should be accepted

Does going to a small college effect law school admission?

The two primary variables used by law schools in evaluating candidates are the student's LSAT score and undergraduate GPA. The size of the school is irrelevant, except to the extent that the law school's admissions committee considers the difficulty of that school's academic curriculum, relative to other schools. Further, the candidate's LSAT score is arguably the "great equalizer", in terms of school variability among all candidates. A student from an average undergraduate school, with a high LSAT score, at least in theory, should have an equal chance of acceptance as a candidate from a top undergraduate institution with a lower LSAT score. Exactly how the LSAT/undergraduate GPA calculus works relative to any given law school is somewhat of a mystery, however most law schools do publish median LSAT/GPA acceptance grids. As a result, most students should have a pretty good idea of their probability of acceptance at a law school, based upon their own LSAT and GPA. Regardless, a student from a small college, with decent grades and a good LSAT score should have ample choices, in terms of law schools. And given that most student's GPAs are largely established by the time they begin to think about law school, the best advice for any prelaw is to focus as much time and energy as possible on the LSAT, in order to improve their overall chance of acceptance at their "dream" law school.

Does law school admission depend mostly on your LSAT score?

Both the scores of the LSAT and your academic record go into an acceptance to a law school. The decision on how much the LSAT applies to acceptance depends on the school.

The LSAT Problems?

When it's time to take the Law School Admissions Test, which is the LSAT, it can make any student nervous since this test will show if that student will qualify for a career in Law. This standardized test needs to be taken by all applicants of every law school. When the application for law school is filled out, the LSAT score is one of the most important parts of that application. The LSAT score will also determine which law school the student will be qualified to attend. The test scores run from 120 to 180. It is almost impossible to get a perfect score of 180, although it has been done very rarely. For a student to attend a law school such as Stanford, Yale or Harvard, the score should be at least in the low 170s. More than half of the scores average between 145 and 160. This test is available four times a year; February, June, October and December. It is necessary to register before the deadline of at least one month prior to the test date. One problem of the test, however, is how expensive it is to register. If the student registers on time, the test will cost $123 per test. If the registration is made too late, there will be at least another charge of $62. The LSAT is a test of logical reasoning needed to be a success at law school and beyond. There are five sections which include two with logic problems, one reading comprehension, one with logic games and one that is experimental and doesn't count for or against the test score. A problem about the experimental section is that it is not always clear which section is the experimental one. The key to the LSAT is to solve the logic problems very quickly. Speed is what brings up the score. The logic problems could be solved by any law student if they had an entire day, but these problems need to be solved fast. There may be only 25 minutes allotted to solve 24 puzzles of logic. Another problem with LSAT is that the score is not known before the student chooses which schools to apply to. So, if the student would like to apply to Yale and doesn't meet the low 170s in the score, that student must choose another law school.
