MIKHAIL GORBACHEV was the Soviet Premier most responsible for the Fall of Communism, especially because of his programs of glasnost (freedom of speech) and perestroika (market economics reforms).
Mikhail Gorbachev was a key player in the eventual deconstruction of communism.
Pope John Paul II and President Ronald Reagan were the two individuals who are largely responsible for the collapse of the Soviet Union.
The leaders of the two German states at the time of the fall of the Berlin Wall were: West Germany: Helmut Kohl East Germany: Erich Honneker (ironically the man responsible for overseeing its construction in the first place)
At the fall of the Soviet Union the president of the Soviet Union was Mikhail Gorbachev. And the prime-minister of Russia was Boris Yeltsin.
Yes.
Soviet Union
The Berlin Wall
Mikhail Gorbachev
The beginning was when the Communists won the Russian Revolution witch started in 1905 and ended in 1917. The Czar and his family were shot, the flag of the Czars Russia changed to the Soviet Hammer and Sickle, and Vladimir Lenin became the leader of the Soviet Union until they could organize a council to govern the country (this obviously failed, and if it hadn't, the USSR may have been more successful) The fall of the Soviet Union in 1991 is when the last 2 satellite states, Ukraine and Belarus, broke off from the Soviet Union (the start of it is when the satellites started breaking off in the 80's, as well as the fall of the Berlin Wall) and in December 1991 Gorbachev, the last leader of the USSR, resigned and the Soviet flag changed into the tricolor if the Russian Federation.
no the fall of the soviet union was actually the cause of the end so it is not actually considered to have occurred during the cold war
