What Would be the genotype of a homozygous black dog?
Differences between homozygous and heterozygous genotypes?
homozygous genotypes mean that it has two of the same alleles of the one gene hetrozygous genotypes mean that it has two different alleles of the one gene i find an example easier. lets use fur color, say black fur (B) is dominant to the allele for brown fur (b) so a dog with brown fur would have the genotype (bb) which would be homozygous, as would a dog with black fur with the genotype (BB) a dog with black fur could also have the genotype (Bb) which is hetrozygous.

Could the heterozygous black dog have the same genotype as a dog with yellow fur?
If a dog's genotype is Dd if it has a disease what genotype does another mate have to have in order for have of the puppies to not have a disease?
There is not really enough information in the question to answer it properly. You would need to know what trait the D and d stood for to give a proper answer. If the dog's genotype is Dd and it has the disease, this suggests that the disease is caused by a dominant allele. A healthy bitch would have the genotype dd and half of her pups would have the disease. There is no mate which would produce all heathly pups. If the dog is symptom free then the disease is caused by a recessive allele. In which case the dog should be matted with a dog with the genotype DD to have 100% symptom free pups. Mating Dd to Dd would give 75% symptom free pups and 25% sufferers. Mating the Dd dog to a dd dog would give 50% disease free pups and 50% sufferers.

What happens if a blonde pit bull breeds with a black pit bull?
Then have their litter is to likely be black, and half be white, or some will have spots of splotches, black on white or white on black. Hope this helps, sorry if it was confusing! Twilight fan10 ________________________________________________________________________ Well, it depends on the mothers genotype and the fathers. (genotype is written trait) Let's say TT and Tt are black and tt is blond. Let's make a Punnett square :D! Never mind! I can't make one on this stupid website! Well, I'll just tell you this, If the black dog is purebred, they will all be black. If the dog is heterozygous, half will be black and half will be white. Hope I helped :)

Can full sized dogs have miniature offspring?
yes because if it is heterozygous dog that means that it has a dominant gene ( big ) and a recessive gene ( small ) and that means the dog is Tt capital t is dominant and if they breed with another homozygous recessive dog that means that out of every 4 puppies 2 will be big and 2 will be small ( p.s homozygous means that you have all dominant or recessive genes )
