The major composers associated with bringing their country's folk music into the classical vein were Bela Bartok and Zoltan Kodaly. Franz Liszt wrote Hungarian Rhapsodies among his music, but didn't tend to use them as base material like the first two. Erno Dohnanyi is another Hungarian composer who sometimes wrote in the idiom of Hungarian folk music.

The swing beat is used a lot in blues. Also, this bears a strong resemblance to Folk Music and Asian music because of the repeated use of the pentatonic scale.
Pentatonic music is based off the pentatonic scale, which unlike your everyday 7-pitch octave, it contains 5 pitches. Pentatonic music is very common worldwide in traditional and folk music. Hope that helped :) If you need anything more specific, shoot.
The pentatnic scale is the oldest scale used by humans. It has appeared in folk music from around the world in songs that are hundreds, sometimes thousands of years old. It is thought that ancient Greek and Roman music used the pentatonic scale. It was not "invented" by one person.
syncopations modal scales and pentatonic scales often in folk music.
Pentatonic, I believe.
Pentatonic music is music written on a pentatonic scale. If you look on a piano keyboard and find a set of 2 black keys and a set of 3 black keys next to each other, that makes a pentatonic scale. Many hymns and a lot of American folk tunes use a pentatonic scale, some good examples are "Amazing Grace", "Jesus Loves Me", "Mary Had a Little Lamb", "Old MacDonald". The main theme of the second movement of Dvorak's "New World Symphony" is also a pentatonic melody. It is possible to play any pentatonic melody on just the black keys of a piano.
