Yes. A 20-year old is an adult. A parent or other is not "liable" for the 20-year old any more (unless by court order). This individual is "on his own" in this case. If the homeowner wants the person out of the home, a call to the police will make it happen. Then all that's needed is a restraining order. Best of luck sorting this one out.

If he is the legal age of majority in the state where you reside all that is necessary is that you ask him to leave your property. If he refuses to leave voluntarily you can request the authorities to assist you. If there are mitigating circumstances, for instance he is still attending high school, you may need to petition the court for termination of parental obligation/rights. The legal age in most states is 18, in Alabama and Nebraska it is 19, in Mississippi and Pennsylvania it is 21. Even if he is a minor, if there is "just cause" you have the option for filing a request in juvenile court to have him removed from the home and placed in the custody of the state.

Your husband can only kick your son out of the house if he is at least 18 years old, and he is the sole owner of the property. If you also own the house and disagree then your husband may have a problem since you each have the right to the use and possession of the whole premises. Perhaps you should consult with an attorney.
NO ! Maybe if he is old enough to find his own place
18 years of age your son is no longer a minor. If your son is causing serious problems at home and will not conform to house rules then yes, you can kick your son out without your wife's permission. Remember, once you do so your wife will fight to the bitter end for her son no matter how he is acting out. It would be wise to sit down with your son; go over house rules again; perhaps help him get a job; pay some rent (at least for the food he eats) and give him responsibilities around the house. or, help him finally to get on his feet and find a small apartment and perhaps share rent with a roommate. If he will not consider this then out he should go!
No matter age, seniority or any other reason, the person paying the bills is the man of the house(unless it is a woman then it is father.)

* If you son is no longer a minor then no, there is nothing you can do, BUT, if you hold the mortgage on the house in which he lives then yes, you can call in his debt and take the home over. It would be wise if your son is of age to learn lessons of life. The group of them may well get along together or, if not, then it will be up to your son to decide whether to kick them out or not.
Not permanently.
