All breeds have varying life span. For instance my Jack Russell Terrier lived for 20yrs, my wolf/shepherd as well was around 20yrs, where as I have other dogs that varied with breeds and length of life. As with people there is no definite length of life as there are always surrounding circumstances that could effect them/us. The best thing you can do is love them to the fullest for as long as they are here.

AnswerIt depends on the breed and size. Large dogs average approximately 7 to 10 years, while smaller breeds average 13 to 15 years. It also depends on how well they are cared for. For example, appropriate diet and exercise, medical attention etc. Now, the above is just an average. Some dogs live much longer.

Dogs can live to be different ages. If you have a lab 5 years or older, and if you have a golden retriever maybe 8 or 9. It all depends on your dog type, and your dogs health issues. But most dogs don't live over 12. All of this is human years. But to understand this look at the following. Just as people live about 70-90 years old, dogs do too, but their years are quicker. The left side is human years, the left is dog years. But you can always talk to your local vet if it doesn't.

2 months 14 months 6 months 5 years 8 months 9 years 12 months 14 years 2 years 20 years 3 years 24 years 4 years 30 years 5 years 40 years 6 years 42 years 7 years 49 years 8 years 56 years 9 years 63 years 10 years 65 years 11 years 71 years 12 years 75 years 13 years 80 years 14 years 84 years 15 years 87 years 16 years 89 years

It depends on the type of dog: small dogs tend to live longer than big dogs, and "mutts" tend to live longer than purebreds, but dogs in general usually live 10 to 15 years.

Dogs can live up till 10-16 years.

If your dog is healthy than the age would be higher. So keep your dog really healthy and promise you your dog will live long.
