According to the traditions which i know the prophet zecariah was of 90 when john the baptist(yahya) was born...
The age of Zechariah, father of John the Baptist, is not known. The only information we are given is that he and his wife were "both well along in years" (Luke 1:7). Zechariah doubts the angel Gabriel's message because Luke 1:18 states: Zechariah asked the angel, "How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years."
Couple of people had it. Abraham & Sarah in OT (Isaac the real son of Abraham) and Zechariah & Elizabeth in NT (John the baptist)
Their exact age is not known, but "Zacharias said unto the angel, Whereby shall I know this? for I am an old man, and my wife well stricken in years." (Luke 1:18)
They were the same age in years but John the Baptist was older by a couple months.
The parents were old when John was born, so the age is also not certain.
The age of Zachariah is not specifically mentioned in the New Testament. He was not very young, however. This is known because his wife, Elizabeth, was well past the age of childbirth.
The bible doesnt state her age but that she was "well along in years". (Luke 1:7)
John the baptist was 30 years old when he Baptised Jesus. Jesus 30 years and John the baptist is 6 months elder than Jesus Christ. So, this is true. I think John the baptist beheaded at the age of 32-33 years. Why, because of jesus christ formed his disciples and ministry developed after death of baptist.
Approximately 27 years of age.
John the baptist did not die in his mothers womb, he was beheaded by king Herod in his old age.
There is no reference in scripture or tradition that tells us her age when she carried John the Baptist except that she was beyond child bearing years, probably in her 50s or 60s.
Roughly the same age as Jesus.
He was approximately 27 years of age.
Jesus got baptized from John the Baptist at age 12
He most likely died of old age.
John was born for a special purpose. Given the Holy Priesthood at the age of eight years, it was his mission to be the forerunner to Jesus Christ. He told the people of the Messiah's coming and to make the people ready to receive him. He was The Baptist and baptized the Christ. John was one of the greatest teachers ever to have lived during his lifetime.
He is well over 2,000 years old now. He is not answering calls.
Her exact age is not given. It is only stated that she was post-menopausal.
To estimate the answer John for the first time baptised when he was around 30, he baptised jesus at the age of 35.
St. Elizabeth, the mother of John the Baptist, gave birth to John when she was already elderly.
>John the Baptist was six months older than Jesus when Herod made the decision to kill every male baby under the age of two for fear that a child from this age group would grow up and become King of the Jews and therefore displace him as King. Zacharias and Elizabeth the parents of John lived in the vicinity of Jerusalem which meant John was at risk of being murdered himself. Elizabeth stole John away and escaped to a mountainous area of Israel where he grew up in the wilderness and was raised on locusts and wild honey as his staple diet. John's father, Zacharias, was murdered by order of Herod near the alter in the Temple because he refused to disclose the whereabouts of his son(Matthew 23:35).> The Zacarias son of Berechias was NOT the father of John The Baptist, it was Zechariah in the Old Testament.
Someone has said that she was in her late 30's early 40's when John the Baptist was born but even though there is no age given, we know that is not even close to being a possible age.Everyone considered it a miracle and her husband told the angel he was an old man and his wife "well striken" in years. He wouldn't have doubted the angel if she had been in in her forties as lots of women have children in their 40's and even fifties. She had to be at least in her late 60's or older because the angel told Mary that her cousin Elizabeth was having a baby in her old age and even 60 is not considered old age. Linda Marek
Maybe some one can add to this, however I can find nothing that gives her exact age at the time of John's birth. It is said she was advanced in years and also, "Elizabeth had conceived a son in her old age."
"John the Baptist" was six months older than Jesus ! No one knows the age difference between John the Apostle and Jesus though.
