Here is a link to a broiler feed chart
Up to about 4 to 6 weeks old it is best to keep chicks on chick grower. Grower is made small so tiny beaks can handle the food. Adult bird feed is often too large to swallow. Table scraps are often hard for the young birds digestive system as it is still developing. Free range chicks will experiment with small plants and bugs but almost all their daily needs are met with Chick starter /grower.
From the time the new chicks leave the shell they should be given a chick starter food. This is available either in medicated or un-medicated form. The chick starter is small pre-ground and simply digestible. At about 2 months a small amount of chick grower can be added and increased each day until the birds are off the chick starter and eating only the grower. Full grown hens eat crushed/milled grains mixed with animal-based proteins and other minerals (particular emphasis on calcium and phosphorus for egg production).
Chicks can be slowly weaned off chick crumble at about 6 weeks. Start by adding a small amount of chick grower each day until you no longer need the smaller size feed. Layer complete or laying mash can be started at about 16 weeks.
No they should really be fed fresh greens as a treat and depending on the age a chick starter or a chick grower does very well for chicks and ducklings.
until der nice and fat or until you start to see running rosted chickens
uuu
The minimum number of chickens that should be raised together is at least two chickens . I have two chickens and they get along great!!!
Yes, they can. When given a modest amount of cat food to consume, chickens can survive. It is not suggested, however, and should be done with caution because there may be health hazards involved.
you should take it to the vet
At least four, chickens are social animals. You should have one rooster to every 15-20 hens. Every chicken should have 1-1/2 cubic ft. of space but extra space is recommended for the least amount of aggressiveness.
replace the starter
I know lots about chickens but you got me lol But i know they like grain beware of the amount, too much grain is very unhealthy for your chicken and lets it roam about a lot for exercise
