Liposuction under local anesthesia using the tumescent (wet) technique is exceptionally safe.
This is not possible.. local or general anesthesia is required in order to have liposuction! But if you wish to avoid anesthesia you should consider some non surgical fat removal techniques (Coolsculpting i Lipo Zerona etc)
Traditional liposuction can pose several dangers to the patient. Any time that you must go under anesthesia you are putting yourself in a possibility of danger. This is why you have to weight the benefits of liposuction with the risks of anesthesia. There is also a risk of infection.
Liposuction uses both methods of anesthetic, it just depends on the area. Local anesthesia would be used for smaller treatment areas, specifically those away from vital organs, whereas general anesthesia would be used for the typical torso procedure.
Various types of anesthesia can be used for liposuction procedures. If a small of amount of fat is being removed from a limited number of areas local anesthesia with a light sedative to make you feel drowsy and relaxed may be considered. When treating larger areas, general anesthesia is typically used causing you to be asleep during the procedure. Together, you and surgeon will select the type of anesthesia that provides the most safe and effective level of comfort for your surgery.
One can use the word "liposuction" in a sentence in the following examples: "Liposuction permanently removes unwanted fat deposits that can remain in spite of a healthy lifestyle." "Liposuction can improve your appearance from top to bottom in many ways!" "Liposuction is an outpatient procedure performed using local anesthesia with sedation or general anesthesia depending on the area."
This depends on many factors: the surgeon you will opt for, the technique that will be used (wet, laser, ultrasound, PAL) and the anesthesia that will be used!
The cost of liposuction in India is between Rs.50,000 and Rs.1,25,000 based on the area to be treated and anesthesia administered.
"Arm liposuction can be performed througha small incision under local or general anesthesia. In some cases, further surgery can be necessary to reduce excess skin after arm liposuction."
There are numerous factors that will affect the cost of liposuction. The factors you need to consider are the surgeon's training, anesthesia fees and facility fees.

Yes, it is called tumescent anesthesia. Usually this is combined with some degree of sedaton for comfort. I am a plastic surgeon in Utah (Dr. York Yates). Most plastic surgeons prefer to do liposuction with largely local anesthesia for patient safety.
