Answer . God said to Noah that he would destroy the earth by a great flood because of mankind's sinfulness. Noah was to build an ark (boat) to carry his family and 2 of every kind of animal. It rained 40 days and 40 nights, after which Noah sent a bird out to check for dry land. The ark finally l…anded on what the Old Testament calls Mount Ararat, which may or may not be the Mount Ararat we know today.. Noah's Ark was really a place of safety for Noah and his immediate family, and the animals that he had aboard. Its necessity revealed the terrible depravity and violence to which mankind had degenerated as well as the mercy of God in providing a way of escape, which was available to all, but sadly, only a few people chose to go.. Biblical Christians consider the ark a symbol of Christ, as faith in Him is our safety from destruction due to sin. Many questions have been raised about all sorts of things regarding this boat. If close attention is paid to what the Bible does and does not say in the whole account in Genesis 6 - 9, then the story is actually feasible.. For example, the Bible does not say the animals were to be full grown. Most would have been young, or even eggs. The Bible says each after its "kind;" for example, "canine kind" would have been the forerunners of wolves and dogs. This is differentiation, not macro-evolution, by the way.. According to Genesis the ark would have been about half as big as the Queen Mary. Thus there would have been room enough for all the kinds and the food to sustain them. . See Related Links . Answer 1 Genesis 8 v4 . And the ark rested in the seventh month, on theseventeenth day of the month, upon the mountains ofArarat.. Mt. Ararat is in modern day Turkey. Answer 2 Disregarding the question as to whether the Noah story actuallytook place, if Noah's Ark was made out of wood, pitch,… and tar asthe Bible records and it landed on Mount Ararat (in eastern Turkeynear the Armenian border), it would have rotted by this point inhistory. Wood exposed on the top of a mountain would not last morethan 100 years do to the moisture of the rain and numerousbacterias that feed on wood. It has been a few thousand years. Answer 3 A team of evangelical Christian explorers claim they've found theremains of Noah's ark beneath snow and volcanic debris on Turkey'sMount Ararat. ( Full Answer )
Noah's ark held over 4000 animals. Each animal had a male andfemale from each species. The only animals that did not enter theark were animals that lived in the water.
That depends on divine intervention. On the other hand, if animals did not carry every species of virus, bacteria and parasite onto the Ark, those germs would not have survived, would they? Lack of exercise over an entire year should also have created health problems for many animals. Bigger problem…s are things like starvation - how do you feed a pair of lions for a whole year? How do you feed a pair of hungry hippos or elephants for a whole year? And how do you feed them for years to come, until the plants or animals on which they feed have multiplied and spread? In Noah's ark story how big is the ark about how many animals were on the ark and where did it happen exactly?
Opinion The Bible says that the Flood covered the whole world, at least to the top of the mountain called Ararat in the Old Testament days, which may or may not be the Mount Ararat we know today. According to the Genesis 7:2, there were 2 of each kind of "unclean" animal, 7 of each type of "clean" …animal--those which would be used for sacrifices and for food. None of the 3 pairs were harmed (sacrificed) until they had used up the 7th one of all clean animals for their needs of clothing and food. By then the 3 pair had offspring. These animals were "after their kinds," e.g. "canine" would have been the kind that became wolves and dogs. Logically, they would have been the young of each kind, requiring far less room and food than adult animals. Genesis 6:15 indicates that Noah's ark is approximately 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high (assuming a cubit of 18 inches), which is about half as big as the Queen Mary. It happened in pre-Flood Suruppak near post-Flood Ur just north of Kuwait and pushed the ark up the valley 520 miles to Mount Ararat. ( Full Answer )

If it was a worldwide flood, some would say there must have been millions of mammals, marsupials and monotremes: two of each species and each subspecies, plus millions more of birds, reptiles, insects, parasites and so on from all over the world. If the story is literally true, anything that did not go onto the Ark must have perished. The evolution of a new species or subspecies takes very much longer than 4000 years and could not account for the diversity that now exists.. How did Noah & his family build such a mammoth ship of this size?Who was cleaning all the mess up out of the ark,to stop disease wiping them out? What were all the preditors eating?Where did all the the fresh water mammels & fish live(& sea creatures) when the ark finally landed. What did they all eat & drink till after many years water cleared & food regrew? If this occurred? it ,means were all decended out of incest, which is codemmed in the bible?so how come our genetic make ups are so diverse?Wake up were supposed to be educated people!. And finally,God sent so much water, yet he can`t send a bit of rain to stop children suffering and dying in a drought.Made in gods imige are we?I hope not!. Answer . The account in the book of Genesis (roughly chapters 6-8) do not mention anything about how the animals entered the ark. It does say that there was a single door to the ark (Genesis 6:16), but how big that door was is not specified.. Tradition says the animals entered "two by two." Trad…ition also forgets to note that Noah was told to bring in 7 of each type of clean animal, not just the standard "one pair of each." ( Full Answer )
The Bible does not exactly name what animals were on the ark and only mentions clean and unclean 'kinds'.
This question would be totally unanswerable as the account in the Bible contains no reference to this matter. there is no point in asking questions like this because it does not involve your salvation. The Bible was written to lead you to Christ.
There weren't just seven pairs of clean animals on the ark. Instead, there were seven pairs of each of the ritually clean animals, and seven pairs of each kind of bird. In contrast, there was just one pair of each kind of unclean animal.
Counted his belongings (pairs of animals, seeds etc.) Noah bulit an alter, and offered burnt offerings on the alter. Gensis 8:20
The Bible does not state this and there would seem to be no way of knowing since the many 'cultural reminiscences' of this event from the many people groups around the world may not give a definitive answer either.
It wasn't really Noah's Ark that removed the darkness that was in the world but the waters of judgment sent by God. Noah is also only recorded as having built one ark. It was a huge vessel. After the flood event Noah had work to do which did not include ark building.
There weren't just seven pairs of clean animals on the ark. Instead, there were seven pairs of each of the ritually clean animals, and seven pairs of each kind of bird. In contrast, there was just one pair of each kind of unclean animal. So more than seven clean animals were used in Noah's sacrifici…al offering upon leaving the ark. ( Full Answer )
Not sure what your question is, but the ark story is fully demonstrably wrong. Here's something I wrote listing most of the reasons why the ark story is not true (this is pasted). God made it possible for the animals to be higher than everest and not freeze or suffocate. God gave the animals an un…limited supply of food and water. God fit all the animals onto the ark somehow. God made all the animals stand still and not eat eachother or Noah and not get severe blood clots and illness. God made all the insects live long enough to survive the trip. God magically kept the environment for sea life the same as before despite the change in light, pressure, and temperature. After Noah got off god magically recreated all the plant, fungal, and all microscopic organisms but couldn't recreate the visible animals and humans. God makes all of the offspring of the animals and Noah genetically diverse enough to prevent imbreeding. God puts fossils of Ancient life in the Earth to test the faith of future believers. After the earth is fully repopulated god remembers he could have just used magic to kill all of the humans instantly instead of his ridiculous flood plan. ( Full Answer )
Repopulating the world post-flood. Two, a male and a female obviously being necessary for reproduction.
The Biblical account does not mention in what order individual animals entered, nor which was the last to do so.
If you mean when the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat, and the door was opened then the answer is unknown. If you mean which animal was the first to be released by Noah then this was a Raven as recorded in Genesis 8:7.
Yes, there were at least one of each sex of the different kinds. Genesis 7:2 . Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female. 3Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep s…eed alive upon the face of all the earth.. My guess would be either the lion (as king of all animals) or the ox (as king of domestic animals).

Since the Bile has no record of this, the question would have to be and remain unanswerable. The Torah doesn't say and we will never know. Mice get into everything, you dont have to collect a pair.
It is not mentioned anywhere in the Bible. In some old Jewish texts (in the mediaeval midrash Book of Jasher) however, she is named Naamah.
The bible doesn't specify; however, I'm sure it was one of the land-living animals that needed to swim to find food (such as a penguin).

Bible doesn't say but the most sholastics agree that the lamb being the prefered animal for holocaust until the crucifixion of Jesus as important in symbol could have been the first one in the ark. four couples of lambs in total.
A: From a literal point of view, every animal that became extinct in prehistoric times did not go into the ark. That would include thousands of kinds of dinosaurs, both large and small, and thousands more of ancient amphibians, although the Bible clearly says that Noah was instructed to take every …kind of animal onto the Ark. Noah was not instructed to take fish onto the Ark, so it is somewhat surprising they survived the long period of the Flood. From a scientific and historic point of view, no animal went onto the Ark, because there never was a great, worldwide flood and there was no Ark. ( Full Answer )
We don't know exactly how many animals Noah had, but he wasinstructed to take two of each animal, male and female. The animalswere sent to him to go into the ark.
There were pairs (male and female) of either two or seven of each kind on the ark. The Bible says they entered the ark in twos. Many aquatic animals would not have needed to enter the ark at all.
It was a raven, and the story only says that it flew "to and fro," or "here and there." Beyond that, we don't know. Genesis 8:7.
Yes. The ark was an unusually large ship. Thisstatement " And there are literally millions of land animalspecies in the world. " by the above author is not true. There are about 21,100 land species in the world. Theark was plenty big enough to hold them all with room left over. Genesis 6:15 (…KJV) And this is the fashion which thou shaltmake it of : The length of the ark shall be three hundredcubits , the breadth of it fifty cubits , and theheight of it thirty cubits . Genesis 6:16 (KJV) A window shalt thou make to the ark, and in acubit shalt thou finish it above; and the door of the ark shaltthou set in the side thereof; with lower , second , and third stories shalt thou make it. The dimensions were: length 300 cubits breadth 50 cubits height 30 cubits and the ship was 3 stories tall. A cubit is 18 inches. So, to put the dimensions into modernmeasurements we would have 450 feet long (that is 150 feet longer than a football field!) 75 feet wide 45 feet tall That gives a volume of 1,518,750 feet^3. That gives plenty of room for all of the non-water dwelling animalsto be on board with sufficient food for all and even room left overfor many other people to be on board as well. CLASSIFICATION # OF SPECIES # ON ARK (over-estimations) Mammals 3,700 3,700 Birds 8,600 8,600 Reptiles 6,300 6,300 Amphibians 2,500 2,500 Fishes 20,600 0 Tunicates, etc. 1,325 0 Echinoderms 6,000 0 Arthropods 838,000 0 Mullusks 107,250 0 Worms, etc. 39,540 0 Coelentrates, etc. 5,380 0 Sponges 4,800 0 Protozoans 28,400 0 Total 1,072,395 21,100 Number of Species on the Ark 21,100 Male & Female 42,200 Clean Animals 7,800 Total Animals On The Ark 50,000 The average size of an animal is that of a sheep so only about 36%of the ark was used for animals if the figure of 50,000 is used. However, was probably more like 16,000 animals that were present onthe ark. That would only be 12% of the ark used for animals. If theark was totally full then it would hold 138,888 animals. Baby animals that would grow up to populate the world after theflood were more likely what was on board the ark. The global flood of Noah's day points to the judgement of God onevil men. As the world was destroyed in the past by a flood becauseof man's wickedness so too it could be destroyed in the futurebecause of man's wickedness. ( Full Answer )

Answer Every mammal, insect, spider, reptile, bird and all living things would have had to find its way to Noah's Ark if the story is literally true. This would have required Noah and his three sons to visit every continent and island right around the world, going to every desert and swamp, collect…ing two of each species and subspecies and making sure that in each case he really had a male and a female, then ship them safely back to the Near East ready to join the Ark. Once the Flood subsided, they would have had to return each animal correctly to just the right environment where they had been before. This could only have been done if the animals needed no food and would never die until safely returned to their homelands. If literally true it would have been the most momentous project ever undertaken on earth. ( Full Answer )
The bible says a pair of each animal, came to Noah he did not have to bring them.
Noah's ark (Gen 6) happened many years before the tower of Babel(Gen 11). Gen 11 discusses the flood as a past event. In the Towerof Babel narrative God does not destroy the tower nor the peoplebut alters people's language so they cannot understand each other.
It holded every kind of animal except the dinosaurs because they were extinct. Every animal was paired with one male, one female. Allah told Noah to do like this.
A raven and a dove were first to be released from the ark to see if the water had receded
The crow was sent off the ark first because Noah sent it out to see if the water had lessened after the flood. The crow flew back to the ark after finding no land. Seven days later, Noah sent out the dove & it came back with an olive leaf in its beak (a telltale sign that land was near).
Noah took 7 pairs of clean animals (the ones they could eat). And then he took one pair of unclean animals (the ones they couldn't eat). Similarly for the birds.
Answer 1 Actually, it has not been mentioned. Some believe that the carnivores ate up all the dinosaurs and so they became extinct. However, this may not be true. Most of them believe it is a fairy tale. Answer 2 Although it was not directly stated, most people who believe in the Story …of Noah's Ark assume that necessary provisions for sustaining the animals were brought on board and that God would have likely helped in the matter. The Bible never states this. And a close read would have the reader note it speaks of 'kinds' and not the various varieties we have today - for example canine kinds of which bears, wolves, foxes, and dogs are some members.
It doesn't give a list of animals, just that 7 clean and 2 of the UnClean go into the Ark(Box) Gen 7:2 Of every Clean beast you shalt take to you by SEVENS, the male and his female: and of beasts that are NOT Clean by TWO, the male and his female. Gen 7:3 Of fowls also of the air by Sevens, the …male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth. When in chapter 6:19-20 it says TWO, it means PAIR, COUPLE-(as in male & female), twofold: the Hebrew word here is sh'nayim ש×× ×× Otherwise when he got off and sacrificed any that would have been the end of that species. Gen 8:20 And Noah build an altar to YAHVEH- (the LORD) ; and took of every Clean beast, and of every Clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the altar. ' The only list of animals is in Lev.11 and Duet.14 of what God said we can and can not eat, and IF God don't change (and He don't) then all these things are still bad for us (just ask a doctor) and an Abomination to Him. if we eat the things He says is bad, isn't that sinning? What is sin? According to the New Testament- "Sin is Transgression is the Law/Torah" 1 John 3:4 Why would God give us a list twice? And in the Last Book before Matthew He says He changes not and then reminds us to Remember the Torah(law) He gave Moses. The same LAW Messiah Yeshua kept and He didn't change anything and He's our example 1Peter n2:21 (no one else is our example). Also NO Where in the whole Bible does it every say God changed His mind and made the same things He said was an abomination to Him clean-not one scripture in read correcting and that hasn't been changed by man. Hope this helps. Messianic rabbi Tom ( Full Answer )
A: If the story of Noah's Ark had really happened as described in the Bible, every air-breathing animal alive today would have been represented on the Ark, including birds, snakes, lizards, worms, centipedes, all kinds of insects and so on. Of course, the Hebrews who developed this story could not… have known about ardvaaks, cormorants, koalas or kangaroos. they would not have known that there were several species and subspecies of elephants and rhinoceruses. The Avibase database contains records about 10,000 species and 22,000 subspecies of birds in the world. In addition, some birds have become extinct in recent centuries, while many in remote areas have not yey been catalogued. If we regard the story of Noah's Ark as literally true, there must have been over 80,000 birds representing over 40,000 species and subspecies. They range from the ostrich and the even larger, extinct moa down to the smallest finches. As an estimate, there would have to have been more than a million animals, all of which would have needed to be returned to exactly the right location on the globe after the Flood subsided. Another Answer: Considering a statistical approach for this question, it is easy to see that Noah's Ark could have carried its intended cargo. A study by John Woodmorappe ( Noah's Ark: A Feasibility Study , 1996, p. 7), indicates the total of the animals that Noah would have needed in the ark to meet the biblical requirements (see Genesis 6) would number between 2,000 and 16,000-not in the hundreds of thousands or even millions as many reason to have been necessary. Genesis 6:17-20 - New King James Version (NKJV) 17 And behold, I Myself am bringing floodwaters on the earth, to destroy from under heaven all flesh in which is the breath of life; everything that is on the earth shall die. 18 But I will establish My covenant with you; and you shall go into the ark-you, your sons, your wife, and your sons' wives with you. 19 And of every living thing of all flesh you shall bring two of every sort into the ark, to keep them alive with you; they shall be male and female. 20 Of the birds after their kind, of animals after their kind, and of every creeping thing of the earth after its kind, two of every kind will come to you to keep them alive. A cursory reading of Genesis 6 will reveal some often overlooked, but very important details. The Bible doesn't state anywhere that Noah had to take on board the Ark all or every living creature. There were only three requirements for the animals to be loaded on the ark. They had to be 'air-breathing' and of the same biblical kind and only land-dwelling - all ocean creatures were unaffected. A biblical 'kind' is akin to a 'genus' in science today. Even evolutionary scientist attest that every 'dog' today came from a single pair and taken farther, all 'canine' family (wolves, bears, foxes, dogs, etc) could come from a basic 'kind' of pairing over time.. The Ark was the size of a WWII US Aircraft Carrier and therefore had more than enough space to house the terrestrial creatures, including the 8 humans over the year plus conveniently. After their release, God 'de-pacifies' the animals and puts the fear of man into them. He scatters them on their way (timing unknown) to their particular geographic locations just as He did to man (beginning of the dispersal with later various migrations) in the Tower of Babel story.. A: In Genesis 6:19-20, Noah is told to take two of every animal onto the Ark, clean or unclean, but in Genesis 7:1 he is told to take two of every unclean animal, but seven of every clean animal. The reason for this surprising find is that there are actually two stories of Noah's Ark in the Bible…, written by two different authors and cleverly interleaved so that the result appears to be just one, rather complicated story. In the same way as there are two answers to this question, we can also find that one story has the flood subsiding in just forty days, while the other says that it lasted one year. We do not know the names of the two different authors of the biblical stories of Noah, and they are now called the Priestly Source and the Yahwist : . The Flood verses attributed to the Priestly author are: Genesis 6:9-22, 7:6, 7:8-9, 7:11, 7:13-16a, 7:18-21, 7:24, 8:1-2a, 8:3b-5, 8:7, 8:13a, 8:14-19, 9:1-17.. The verses attributed to the Yahwist are: Genesis 6:5-8, 7:1-5, 7:7, 7:10, 7:12, 7:16b-17, 7:22-23, 8:2b-3a, 8:6, 8:8-12, 8:13b, 8:20-22.. ( Full Answer )
Two ideas come to mind: They could have all been mostly young animals & in hibernation during the entire journey. This would negate storage area for fodder etc., as well as the necessity for a clean-up crew among other things. The words " side-by-side " regarding the Noah account is notbiblical. It sounds more like possible song lyrics someone mightuse to teach children about Noah [not necessarily factual, butentertaining]. The biblical account says: "They came into the boat INPAIRS , male and female ,just as God h…ad commanded Noah." (Gen.7:9 NLT New Living Translation ) The access port to the ark may have been wide enough for theanimals to enter " side-by-side "... but it isn't statedthat they did. But only that they entered " in pairs, male andfemale ." "Take along SEVEN PAIRS of each animal THAT I HAVE APPROVED FOR EATING and FORSACRIFICE , and take ONEPAIR of each of the others... There must be a maleand female in each pair to ensure that every kind of livingcreature will survive the flood." (Gen.7:2-3 NLT ) ( Full Answer )
