What animal resources can be found in Europe?

Europe has, or had, an abundance of animal resources. Fur animals, such as rabbit, wolf, fox, otter, and mink live there. Large herbivores like roe deer, reindeer, ibex, and European Bison are sources of meat and furs. Migratory songbirds and gamebirds are a source of meat and feathers. The apex predator of Europe, polar and brown bears, are sources of meat and fur. In addition, large amounts of aquatic animals can be found in the Atlantic, Baltic, and Mediterranean.

However, many of Europe's animal resources are in decline.
