What animals give us wool?
Wool is primarily from sheep.
Other animals give us other types of wool :
Cashmere or pashmina is collected from Cashmere Goats.
Lamb's wool is collected from lambs (young sheep).
Camel Wool is collected from camel.
Mohair is collected from Angora goats.
Their are lots states in india which have the same common wool giving animal,the sheep but there are also some states where their are different animals like in jammu and kashmir there is kashmir goat in ladak the pashmina goat and in rajathan there is the camel ,but their are also animals like rabbits which give us wool it is known as angora wool.
Animals give us wool from sheep and the llama family. Wool bearing animals do not need to be killed in order to give wool, but if they are slaughtered, then their wool stays attached to their hide and can be made into coats.
