The most common and effective antibiotic for bladder infections and cystitis is Ciprofloxacin. It is also very expensive and you will find that many doctors will try to be " cheap ' with you because of your insurance company, and give you another medicine that is not as effective or in many cases not even the correct medicine for your problem. Do you research before you ask a doctor about this because they like to assume that all patients are idiots, when in fact we are not.
