Currently the oil industry is the leader of the economy followed by the fishing and seafood industry. Available oil reserves are on the decline and there is a clamor to drill on Federal Lands in Alaska (the US Government owns and manages about 65% of all Alaskan land). The Seafood industry under proper management will be sustainable for generations.
