Hard rock is rock that doesn't wear away easily (resistant rock), therefore, soft rock is rock that does wear away easily.
I.e. that is way the coast is so uneven, because it hasn't got resistant levels of rock being continuously hit by destructive waves.

Soft Rock: Sand Stone Hard Rock: Permeable rock and Impermearble .
It is a limestone, hard.
Hard rock, an example of soft rock is Barton-on-sea.
Slate is a hard and brittle rock.
Chalk is a hard rock, with large lines of weakness so will erode by physical weathering and the sea.
Hardness in a rock has different meanings. Although sandstone, a sedimentary rock, may be composed of quartz grains (relatively hard on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness), it might be loosely cemented by calcite crystals which are not so hard, making it crushable by the squeeze of a hand. There are other well cemented sedimentary rock types that are very resistant to breaking, however. Certain limestones, breccias, conglomerates, and sandstones take great effort to break into smaller pieces. In general though, geologists will refer to sedimentary rock as soft rock, and igneous rock as hard rock. Igneous rock has an interconnected crystalline structure which makes it very resistant to fracture.
Marble is a hard rock. it is a soft rock then the Taj Mahal situated in agra will have broken into peices.

It is both hard and soft rock becasue of the elves living inside it.

Igneous rock is considered "hard" rock by geologists due to its interlocking crystalline structure.
Hard engineering :)
Is it Hard rock or Soft rock
classic rock, alterlative, hard rock, soft rock, To be specific talk kinda like chalk, amethyst nice and sparkly and more!!!
Gravel is not a type of rock. It is a general term for a size of small crushed rock. It can be fairly soft (limestone) or fairly hard (basalt, granite)
Hard and soft are relative attributes. Compared to a Marshmallow, limestone is very hard. It's even harder when comparing it with candy floss. In comparison to granite, steel or diamonds, limestone is a pretty soft rock.
