The wings are smaller in terms of wingspan as it allows the kingfisher to be able to dive better, faster and catch its prey better. It also has a long and pointy beak which allows it to be able to pierce through fishes, preventing the fish from escaping

It's simple. by the process of revolution and adaptation, the bird adapts special body features that help him adapt with it's diet and surrounding. Ex the peguin develop fats and other body features that's allow him to stay in the cold surrounding, but also go for fishing in the cold water. the fat protect her body from cold

The kingfishers adapt easily because they have long beaks and shark beaks so they can catch something for e.g a crustacean and fiddle it round in their beak to break its shell. It is easier for them to catch their prey because they a streamlined body so there is no force pushing them back.
