Audio Books are books which are recorded on media such as CD's, DVD's and others as such. They are also available in mp3 format which can be downloaded online. The one fantastic thing about them is they act as substitutes to the physical books and are portable in the sense can be taken anywhere and transfered from one medium to other. And they are audio in nature. So people who are at work or traveling could listen to audio instead of reading a book. Many authors have started releasing an audio version of the books they write. This is soon becoming a popular way of gaining information.

There are websites such as Ebay and Amazon who sell audio books. The price range for this kind of audio books mostly range between $3-$5 and they also have a provision for buying used books which are still cheaper and overall they stand much cheaper to usual physical books.
