You're kidding. England (The United Kingdom) is really the nation that gave birth to the US; yes, it was a hard labor. We have adopted her language (and have given it our particular spin, to be sure) and The UK has become our strongest ally and friend. A great deal of our legal codes have come to us from the UK, and we share many cultural and social values. Not least, many citizens in the US trace family lineage back to British lands.

The UK is short for United Kingdom and is not just England...The parts are England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland...

The main contribution we gave USA was tea and they didnt want to pay the tax on it...thats where it all went wrong, now the USA is the joke of the rest of the world!!!

The effect has been enormous, and it is on-going. We are the closest of allies and friends, even if political differences arise from time to time.
