The duties and responsibilities of a nurse during surgery are to make sure that all the "items" used during the surgery are there and ready to be used for the doctor. also, the nurses have to make sure they have already talked to the patient and made sure they are not allergic to any medications and so on. once in the surgery room, they need to follow the doctors orders.
