An example of an item that is soluble in water is salt. If you put salt in water, the salt disappears. An insoluble item in water is oil or sand, because no matter how many times you stir it, the sand or oil is always there.
Pretty much anything polar will dissolve in water (because water's polar). Two every-day things that will dissolve are salt and sugar. nonpolar things like oils and fats will not dissolve in water (which is why it's hard to wash grease off your hands--water can't dissolve it and carry it away).
It is due to polar nature of water and other materials that are soluble in water. Water is most compatible to get dissolved the materials that are polar whereas the materials that are non polar are hardly soluble in water.
salt is soluble
sand is not
solute- table salt
solvent- water
The two water soluble gases areO2 & CO2

A compound is a substance formed when two or more elements are chemically joined. Water, salt, and sugar are examples of compounds. Most pure substances are compounds A compound is a substance formed when two or more elements are chemically joined. Water, salt, and sugar are examples of compounds. Most pure substances are compoundsA compound is something that has two or more atoms bound together. An example would be water, glucose, alcohol, vinegar.
Solubility refers to the ability of a substance to dissolve in a particular solvent. Most vitamins are soluble in either water or fats. fats soluble vitamins cannot be dissolved in water and require mixture with oils or fats in order to be used by the body.
Acids. They dissociate in water/aqueous solutions to from hydrogen ions (and the corresponding anion).

Tackifiers increase stickiness of a material (e.g. an adhesive) Sugar/Honey are good examples of water soluble tackifiers
A. CO2 B. NaCl C. NaNO3 D. KBr The answer is A. CO2, this would be colder than the rest... :) UR WELCOME

I cannot give a positive answer, BUT kavalactones are fat soluble. Fat soluble substances stay in your system longer than water soluble ones. If you have extra fat in your body it will stay in your system for longer. An educated guess would be 2-4 weeks.
Soluble things in water: 1.sugar 2.salt
some various biodegradable substances areCottonPaperWoodDead animals or plants
The three states of matter are solid, liquid, and gas. Examples are iron, water, and oxygen respectively.
they are water soluble and fat soluble
In chemistry, the term like dissolves like refers to the fact that similar type solutes will dissolve in solvents that have a similar type of chemical composition. Substances like water, acetone, and alcohol are polar molecules and so are soluble in each other. Substances that form non-polar molecules like oil and gasoline are soluble in each other. However, oil will not dissolve in water because of their different chemical bonds.
