What people didn't know about the holocaust?

The Holocaust began in 1933 and ended in 1945, when Hitler died.Thousands of infants and babies were killed even before they could record their births.Of the nine million Jews who lived in Europe, an estimated 2/3 was murdered.At the beginning of WW2 in 1933, Jews were taken from their homes to ghettoes and concentration camps.When the Jews were sent to the death camps, they were stripped into stripy clothes so the Germans could easily identify them. The strong Jews were kept alive to work. However, the weak & old ones were sent to what they believed were 'showers', however they were actually gas chambers.
