∙ 11y agoThere are a variety of specialist courts which might technically qualify as the "lowest federal courts" - tax courts, bankruptcy courts, etc. The lowest federal courts that fall under Article III of the US Constitution are the US federal district courts. For most cases that don't fall into the narrow subject matter of the specialist courts, the district court is the lowest leve.
