The male reproductive system has an endocrine secretion (testosterone) and 4 exocrine secretions in semen: sperm, seminal vesicle fluid (60%), prostatic fluid (25%), and an alkaline secretion from the Bulbourethral (Cowper's) glands that neutralizes the acidic male urethra and secretes mucous that lubricates the urethra and glans.
Endocrine secretions are released in the blood and exocrine secretions are released externally, not into the blood stream.
The male reproductive system is responsible for the production of four exocrine secretions. These secretions are sperm, seminal fluid, prostatic fluid and bulbourethral fluid.
The pancrease has both endocrine and exocrine functions/secretions. It produces four hormones important in blood sugar regulation; insulin, glucagon, somatastatin and pancreatic polypeptide. The exocrine cells secrete digestive enzymes consiting of amylase, lipase, and proteases (trypsin and chymotrypsin) as well as as bicarbonate. In addition to the major enzymes the pacrease secretes phospholipase, colipase, elastase, ribonuclease, deoxyribonuclease, gelatinase and others.
It is different because the female reproduction process goes through meiosis at a slower rate. It divides the four eggs but releases them one at a time. If the mother is prone to have twins or triplets then she is releasing two or three eggs at a time. Unlike with the male reproduction system males are continuously producing sperm. The female reproductive system and the male reproductive system are different externally and internally.
The breeding and reproductive system and practices of the red panda are similar to that of the giant panda. The red panda has between one and four offspring in the late spring or early summer.
Of the four types of tissues- muscular, epithelial, nervous and connective- endocrine and exocrine glands are formed from epithelial tissue.
