the internal conflicts is what the people feel inside...

  • Ponyboy- relationships with his brothers. his own identity. Darry (his oldest brother) hitting him, and about to drown to death.

Sodapop-get's put in the middle of fights with his brothers and wanted to marry a chick named Sandy but she moved

Darry- Fight's with Ponyboy all the time, having a hard time with keeping up with Ponyboy and keeping his job.

Johnny- killed Bob, getting abused, and dying

Cherry-her relationship with bob and being a soc.

-Marcia and Cherry having misunderstanding with their boyfriends because they are drunk

- The Socs and Greasers being in opposition

- Johnny with his horrible family

- Sodapop having problems with hsi girlfriends whom he wants to marry but can't
