One thing he could have done but did not was have former US President, Richard Nixon prosecuted for obstruction of justice. Many people thought Nixon should have been charged. Having a former US President placed on trial would have been politically incorrect, for dozens of reasons. To not prosecute Nixon took allot of courage, but kept the Executive Office NOT subject to more trouble then it already was dealing with. This error was made with Bill Clinton, and it was a 3 ring circus.

The one thing Gerald Ford will be remembered for is the Presidential Pardon he granted to resigned President Richard Nixon. He also vetoed 48 bills in his first 21 months in office. He was defeated in his re-election bid by Democrat James Carter.
