Compare and contrast the lifestyles of lampreys and sharks?
Lampreys are jawless fishes with cartilaginous skeletons. Most lampreys are parasites on other fishes and are marine animals. A few lamprey species live in freshwater. All sharks live in the sea and have cartilaginous skeletons. Most sharks are predators, but a few are filter feeders on marine plankton.

Plural possessive of fish?
That depends on the fish, or fishes. If you have two fishes of the same species, for example two catfish, you say that you have two fish. The plural possessive form of fish is fish's. If you have two fishes of different species, for example a guppy and a catfish, you say that you have two fishes. The plural possessive form of fishes is fishes'.

Which was the first organism with a vertebra?
The first vertebrates (as far as is known) were a group of extinct*, jawless, heavily-armored fishes called Ostracaderms. *There are a few zoologists who feel that the hagfish and possibly the lamprey and slime hag are ostracaderms, but I disagree. I'm not at all sure that the hagfish and slime hag are true vertebrates.
