'Lesion' is the word used for any abnormality.

For example a small cyst on the liver could be called a lesion, as could a large neoplastic mass.

Examples of lesions which could be found on/in the liver;

Neoplasms (including cancers), cysts, abscesses, granulomas and scar tissue from previous inflammation.

Is a lesion on your kidney that has gone from fatty to solid and has zero fat cancer?

I have a lesion on my right kidney I have had it for around 6 years maybe less but it used to be full of fat and 2mm and mow it is completely solid with absolutely no fat and around the same size. Could it be cancer I went to a Kidney doc and he looked at the scans and said "I don't think it is cancer it could be precancer but i think it is not cancer." not tests just looked at a CT. Am I crazy for wanting more then i think i know that walking in the door.
