There are many animals in North America. Mostly birds, mammals, and insects. Most of North American is too cold for reptiles and amphibians, and the coastal areas are nontropical limiting the number of mollusks and fish. The vast majority are herbivores meaning they feed on plants. This group includes various species of gophers, finches, deer, jays, geese, sheep, ground squirrels, sparrows, mice, rabbits, cranes, beavers, etc. The carnivores include many species of weasels wolves, owls, coyotes, and hawks There's also a group called the omnivores including; bears, skunks, roadrunners, and raccoons. There are many feral introductions too. This includes the mustang, cats, dogs, and people.
