No it isn't. I have used it before to get a rock band set. All of these can be a way for a scammer to get to know their victim. If you ever encounter someone on Craigslist that wants you to wire them money, or sends you a cashier's check or money order and the wants you to wire a portion of that on to someone, it is a scam.
