When blood cells have oxygen they are red, when they have no oxygen they are a darker shade of red. The more haemoglobin the blood contains the more oxygen is going to attach to the iron which is the most important element of the haemo-globin.
Oxygen rich blood is which is pure in nature. i.e pure for oxidation process. it is termed as "pure blood" in science term.
Carbon di oxide blood is yet to be purified i.e elimination of Carbon di oxide and is termed as impure blood
Blood is a fairly bright red when it is rich in oxygen . . . it is even brighter red when it is rich in carbon monoxide.
it is blue
head and body =)
The blood gets oxygen from the air around us which is made of oxygen. When we breath in, the oxygen is taken into our lungs and then into our blood.
the oxygen-rich blood coming from the lungs enters the left atrium moves in anticlockwise to be distributed in the body
Major arteries like the aorta transfer oxygenated blood from the heart to the body tissues.Coronary arteries are those branches from the major aorta that feed the heart with oxygenated blood.Arteries are the vessels which carry oxygen-rich blood away from the heart, except for the pulmonary artery, which is the only artery (besides umbilical arteries inside of a fetus) that carries deoxygenated blood. The pulmonary artery carries blood away from the heart into the lungs. The thing that carries oxygen in your blood is the protein hemoglobin.Arteries always carry blood away from the heart. Veins always carry blood back to the heart. Not all arteries carry high O2 blood. Not all veins carry low O2 blood. They are named for where they go not what they carry.
Blood's Too Rich was created on 2008-01-08.
Oxygen-poor blood is dark red; oxygen-rich blood is bright red.
Lungs are pink in color because they are full of oxygen rich blood. Oxygen poor blood, on the other hand, has blue color to it.
Capillaries change color as they pass by body cells as the blood they contain loses oxygen. Oxygen-rich blood has a brighter color than oxygen-poor blood.
Human blood has red color when oxygenated which is mainly because of red blood cells. Its color changes to purple when present in oxygen deprived circumstances. To restore the color the blood has to be placed in oxygen rich environment.
The blood in ARTERIES is BRIGHT RED beacuse it is rich in oxygen. :)) -Zuri
it is red as it is rich with oxygen
the quality of our blood that rich with oxygen will become low
Dark red blood is oxygen-poor. Bright red blood is oxygen-rich.
The left atrium receives oxygen-rich blood.
When blood is oxygen-rich, it is bright red. Therefore, when blood is oxygen-poor, it is darker in color. When oxygen-poor blood flows through the lungs from the pulmonary arteries, it gets rid of the carbon dioxide and picks up oxygen, which then becomes oxygen-rich blood with a bright red color.
By definition, ALL arteries carry Oxygen rich blood. Veins carry oxygen depleted blood.
blood coming from the HEART is rich in oxygen
