Those who write poetry are the ones who believe they see the world differently. Poetry is often abstract and a reflection of the author's mind. Many poets are also simply artists who instead of making art through paints, pencils and sculpture, create art through the sounds of words. Some words are prettier/uglier/darker/more intense than others, so putting them together in a certain fashion creates art.
