How do pets cast spells on wizard 101?

It depends on what pet it is.

*NEW* True, it does depend on what the pet is, but some pets give a card that you can use in battle! Others just look cool and run around your feet.

A pet has talents and skill. Talents are used in the pet derby (I think). The skills your pet can learn can help you in battles.

*NEW* now that there is the starfish pet, and some other pets with talents, when you get it at teen for starfish, you get 11+ max in health. and then at adult in battle it gives a Sprite to you with out even picking it out in your deck! koolio right?! :)

they might help or aid you in battle maybe boost stats when you levl them up they might boost their own pet stats pets might give cards to cast in battle for example earth walker gives the spell earth walker dealing about 420-500 damage

Pets can be played with and they can fight monsters but I'm not sure how :(

A few types give you a special spell card, and others are just for show.

Technically your pet can't fight but it can give an item card or get a "may cast" talent.

You have to get a rare pet and it automaticly gives you a card

OK first the pet needs to be at least a rare pet when you get the pet it might say may cast a spell most pets cast spritley.But you need to have your pet t least teen and up.
