What are radioactive emissions?
Radioactive emissions include x-rays, beta particles, alpha particles, and gamma rays. They are the emissions from forms of spontaneous radioactive decay.
The effects of radioactive pollution are varied. The effects include skin burns, loss of hair, nails, subcutaneous bleeding, changes in cell numbers and metabolism, and changes in the amount of cells produced. Nuclear devices being exploded under ground and contaminants being employed to decrease the radioactive emissions are some controls used.
All forms of radioactive decay have emissions. Some, however, do not emit alpha, positive or negative beta, or gamma particles, and do not emit protons or neutrons either. In these, which include electron capture and double electron capture, neutrinos are emitted, but these are still considered particles.
When conducting a thyroid scan, the patient needs to be given a dose of radioactive iodine by either swallowing or intravenously. No. There is no reason why rabbit feces should be radioactive, unless of course they ate something radioactive or they are under medical care using radioactive isotopes. It might be possible that if the soil is radioactive, and the plants become radioactive, that a rabbit might excrete radioactive feces from eating the plants.
