The rubber bands in braces are to cover the wire so that it does not scratch up your gums.
they are small rubberbands that separate teeth in prep for braces
I bet you won't be surprised when I tell you that eating rubberbands isn not good. However, the guys who designed your braces have taken this possibility into account, and the rubberbands you buy for braces are hypoallergenic and generally benign, even if they aren't tasty :} Don't worry about it. You'll be fine and this too shall pass (pun very much intended :} ).
it usally depends on your ortho but most of the time the rubberbands are free and the mental wire color determines by the ortho you have
I've had my braces for almost two years.... the only reason I was ever excited about braces was that I would eventually get them off and have awesome teeth:] but BRACES suck you don't enjoy eating especially if you have rubberbands and EVERYTHING gets stuck in your teeth and by the next meal you still have food in your teeth
I got hot pink and black braces (pink even, black odd) and everyone LOVED them! It was awesome. If they don't like your braces, haircut, clothes...whatever it is, don't give a crap.
