If you want to join the military, try Air Force first. I won't go into which is better, each have their own opinion and I am biased. An Air Force base is much nicer and better quality than an Army base (I know from experience). Army also deploys a lot and for much longer (2 years on average) than the Air Force. Air Force deploys no more than 1 year and if you are deployed longer, you get a lot of money. The Navy has you out to sea for 6 months out of a year. The Marines are the first to break in a new area and it is one of the most dangerous branches you can join especially if there is a war. Best advice is to go into each of the recruiting offices, don't fill out any paperwork until you have explored all 4 branches. Listen and ask questions of each branch. Ask them why you should join their branch and not one of the others, see what they say about their competitors. It will tell you a lot.
The primary disadvantage to an individual of military service is that you are at greater risk of injury or death than if you were following most civilian occupations. There is also the disadvantage that you are subject to military discipline and cannot come and go as you might want.
There are also advantages to the individual and to society, but those were not asked about.
Same as any other branch. Deployments, being stationed overseas (if you get home sick). Pay isn't that great. Moving around a lot. etc....
There are basically three. One you could get killed. two you would have to leave to go to war. three you go thru lots of tough training.
Chances are you end up dying
Things that make people bad are negative qualities like hatred and jealousy, envy and greediness, and also emotions like frustration/anger. All of this contributes to making a person do bad things. For a person to be bad most of the things that they do have to be bad things. We all do bad things sometimes, and sometimes we do bad things for good reasons. you are only a bad person if you intentionally do bad things.
Because it's stupid to do bad things, and who cares if you get caught - you deserve it. Stop doing 'bad things', and you will not be 'caught' again.

Sometimes it is because of a bad childhood or if the person is under stress or they have had people say bad things to them in the past.

The bad aspects were the usual ones of joining any army: the risk of death, mutilation or injury, the harsh discipline and being stationed far away from one's family. Apart from this, joining the Roman army was advantageous. The poor joined the army voluntarily because it gave them a career (initially it was 16 years and then it was extended to 20 and 25) a pay and a pension. The latter came in the form of either a sizable lump sum of money (mumnaria missio) or the grant of a plot of land to farm (agraria missio) on discharge.
Some people feel passionate about joining the army out of a recognition that the country needs their help, or even that the world as a whole needs their help.
