Try Marapets: flash games, fully customizable characters, quests, missions, item/pet trading, battles, fashion contests, giveaways, prizes, tons of free stuff, friends, forums, chat, blogs, clubs, pets, costumes, and more. It's pretty easy to make marapoints, there are many guides for beginners, and all the staff and members are very friendly and helpful. All completely free. Though there are account upgrades if you want them.

Some random things I love about marapets:

- you can get account upgrade credits from certain missions, (you can win up to 150 from the checklist) and buy upgrades without having to spend any real money!

- there is a ton of fun stuff for the human characters: hundreds of clothes, shoes makeup, and stuff like rare wigs and costumes. You can get plastic surgery, and even make your face random colors like blue or orange.

- Pets are tradeable, and you can even change their names. You can stat them up in every imaginable way: battle stats, school stats, university stats, elite gym stats, books, cds, musical instruments etc. All this can be used for missions, or jobs. Not to mention 150+ pet colors.-

- there are people of all ages from all over the world, so you're sure to find friends with similar interests.

Well, when I was 10 I used woogiworld.com (grades k-6), there are some things that need membership in the virtual world. But to join, no. There is safe chat, they have changed it a bit since i used to play.

There is also Club Penguin, pretty fun... but a lot of things need membership; and even when i was 11 i thought it was really boring. (but just a suggestion to try it).

There is Neopets, Habbo ( there is chatting), there is boombang.

I haven't tried it but my friends say xivio is awesome. They tell me is allows you to: create an avatar and socialize. Any age can join. It has a home page, you can add pictures, music, and it has spaces for you to write blogs. All ages can join, and its perfectly safe, free, and no download.

I often ask myself this too, here are some websites I highly recommend, Small World is pretty decent, loads to do, Ourworld is a FANTASTIC online world, one of my favorites, Yoville love it! Casino City is pretty fun too, Wizard 101 needs download but it has a awesome plot! Don't you hate it, when you start playing and theirs no plot that keeps everything together? Or a cheap online world that just makes you click buttons to do stuff? I hate it! So Happy Gaming!

You can go to Meez (my favorite) or Habbo! I wouldn't suggest IMVU because it almost gave my computer a virus but you can if you want to. PS. I'm a girl to!
