What natural resources is Mexico lacking?

It depends on which area in northern Mexico, as it is a vast territory. Some areas, specially those close to the Sonoran and Chihuahuan deserts, find themselves at a chronic scarcity of water.

It is little known however, that northern Mexico is one of the most resource-rich areas in the country, including mineral resources -- such as silver, fluorspar, cadmium, zinc and copper -- and livestock-rising.
